SMS Consent - OnlySports

This page explains how OnlySports collects consent before sending any SMS message, what messages recipients receive, and how to opt out.

Who sends the messages

OnlySports (scoreboard.beta.onlysports.live) sends transactional SMS to coaches, parents and team members so they can access their sports event registration link and QR code. No marketing or promotional messages are sent.

Step-by-step opt-in flow

1Manager submits phone number with consent checkbox

A logged-in team manager enters a coach's or parent's mobile number while registering a team for a sports event on OnlySports. Before the form can be submitted, the manager must tick the following required checkbox:

I confirm each person listed has given permission to share their phone number and consents to receive SMS about this team/event. Msg & data rates may apply.

The form cannot be submitted without ticking this checkbox. By ticking it, the manager confirms they have direct permission from each recipient before entering their number.

2Recipient receives a confirmation SMS (double opt-in)

After the manager submits the form, the recipient receives this SMS — and nothing else until they reply YES:

OnlySports: [Manager Name] invited you to team [Team Name]. Reply YES to receive your registration link by SMS. Reply STOP to opt out. Msg&data rates may apply.

3Recipient replies YES — registration link is delivered

Only after the recipient personally replies YES does OnlySports send the registration details:

Message frequency

Message frequency varies. OnlySports sends a maximum of 2 messages per registration: one confirmation request and one registration link (only if the recipient replies YES). No recurring or scheduled messages are sent.

How to opt out

Reply STOP to any OnlySports message at any time to unsubscribe. You will receive no further messages. Reply START to resubscribe.

No mobile information will be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
